Level 2 – PLC’s for Maintenance Technicians

This course builds upon the content of the Level I course and expands to include intermediate topics associated with PLC’s. The instructor guided information along with hands-on activities allow participants to immediately utilize the newly developed skills. Topic coverage will provide participants an understanding of program flow, routines and program control, data manipulation.

• AB MicroLogix/SLC using RSLogix 500
• AB CompactLogix using Studio 5000
• AB Micro850 using Connected Components Workbench

Course Length: 2 Days

Prerequisites: Level 1 Introduction to PLCs

A good understanding of electrical control devices is recommended along with basic computer skills,saving files and directory navigation. Also a good understanding of basic computer skills, saving files and directory navigation.

 

Recommended Participants: Anyone needing to install, maintain or troubleshoot automated process containing programmable controllers.
